Apple Crisp...Kind Of

This time of year often features dishes such as apple crisp and apple pie. While delicious, they can be filled with more fat and calories than someone who is watching their weight may want to consume. Is there any way to get that same great flavor without all of the negative nutrition facts? Yes! Keep reading to learn more.

You seriously won't believe how good your kitchen will smell when this dish is done heating. Not only that, it tastes great. Fast and easy to prepare, it's a fall treat you will want to enjoy over and over again. In fact, because it's so healthy, you can enjoy this dish any time of day and not just as dessert. Apple Crisp Fake-Out
Yield: 1 serving

What You Need
1 apple, any variety {I use macintosh.}
pumpkin pie spice, to taste {I sprinkle on a generous amount.}
1 tsp. brown sugar
2-3 Tbsp. Special K granola {or any granola that you like}

What To Do
~ Wash apple. Peel if desired, then chop.
~ Place chopped apple into a microwave safe bowl.
~ Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice.
~ Top with granola and brown sugar.
~ Microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until apple is soft.
